Welcome to Fish, chips & gelato, a food and photography blog.
About Fish, chips & gelato: the creature
We’re big fans of simple and flavoursome recipes. The focus is on (mostly) seasonal ingredients and straightforward recipes. We generally appreciate food that won’t break our bank account, won’t leave the kitchen looking like a mess and won’t take an unjustifiable amount of time to prepare. We don’t like fresh coriander, mint, sardines, cupcakes and over-the-top fondants, frostings and decorations.
About Roberta: author, cook, photographer and dishwasher
A twenty-something born and raised in the North East of Italy, I came to England as an exchange student and decided to stay. I now live somewhere in the North West of England, home of the Lancashire hotpot, the Cumberland sausage and the Morecambe Bay potted shrimp, and proud producer of large quantities of rain.
